Hello So good to have these videos so I can compare the costs of living in Dublin vs Amsterdam I do have a couple of questions if you do not mind helping me out I have already dig my fingers into rental websites and the rent for the living space is definitely much better than in Dublin Let me give you an example: the studio apartment we had (the kitchen was only separated, bathroom was so tiny and I am a tall person) was 1200 euros per month with the heating and Internet included Now to my question: how is the heating? To simplify, in Dublin if you have central heating, it will go in the morning approx from 7-9 am and it will again start at 6-9 pm In the meantime, you have to have a decent heater that as you can tell, will build up your eletricity I just want to know what I possibly will need to invest before deciding to move to the Netherlands brWhat about the bins (general waste)? Do you have bins provided outside the building or you have to provide your own bins, bags with stickers for collection? brThank you for your time and effort Before I even decide to go apartment hunting, it will be good to know these details as this is a hidden cost here in Dublin Currently, we are paying 1225 euros for a one-bedroom apartment with only heating and bins included in the price Comment from : Barbara Subasic |

Thank you so so much for this video! Would it be possible for you to make a video covering some general rental rules for apartment/houses in the Netherlands? I have tried to find information myself, but have not had much luck For example, here in the US we typically are not allowed to paint our walls, or move out with nail holes in the walls We cannot change any flooring or lighting, etc What is it like in the Netherlands, at least in your experience?
